The Bavior AI visibility checker asks a set of buyer prompts on ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overview and Claude. The dashboard tells you which engines named your product. It also tells you which sources each answer cited.
The scan and the dashboard are free, and they re-run daily. What Bavior charges for is the step after the number: it joins the Reddit threads those answers cite and drafts your reply. Prices start at $99 per month billed monthly, or $79.17 per month billed yearly.
See AI visibilityAn AI visibility checker tells you whether AI assistants name your product when a buyer asks for a recommendation. The Bavior AI visibility checker is free and covers ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overview and Claude. It reports a named-mention rate rather than a single screenshot.
We build a prompt set from your category. We ask it on all five engines. Each prompt is repeated, so one lucky run cannot skew the result. The dashboard then answers three questions. Which engines named you. Which brands were named ahead of you. And which URLs each answer cited.
The questions we ask. What each engine answered, word for word. And the number those answers add up to. Three screens, in the order you read them.

Below is a worked example for a fictional B2B SaaS product, laid out the way the dashboard reads.
| Engine | Named you | Named-mention rate | Cited sources per answer | Top cited domain |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Example Co · ChatGPT | Yes | 6 of 10 runs | 12 | reddit.com |
| Example Co · Claude | Yes | 4 of 10 runs | 5 | reddit.com |
| Example Co · Gemini | No | 0 of 10 runs | 3 | g2.com |
| Example Co · Perplexity | Yes | 3 of 10 runs | 8 | reddit.com |
| Example Co · Google AI Overview | No | 1 of 10 runs | 6 | reddit.com |
Read the example in one line. Example Co is named by ChatGPT in 6 runs of 10, by Claude in 4, by Perplexity in 3, by Google AI Overview in 1, and by Gemini in none. That averages to 28 out of 100. Reddit is the top cited domain under four of the five engines.
A zero on the dashboard is a finding, not an error. Gemini cites the fewest sources per answer, and it leans on Google's index. So a product that does not rank on Google's first page rarely enters a Gemini answer at all. The dashboard flags which of the two causes applies: you were not retrieved, or you were retrieved and not named.
The method is published, because a score you cannot audit is not worth acting on.
We write buyer prompts from your category and your rivals, across four types: category, problem, comparison and brand. The same set is kept between runs, because a score is only comparable against itself.
Every prompt is asked many times on each engine. AI answers vary between identical requests, so a single run tells you almost nothing. Repeating them is what turns a screenshot into a rate.
A run counts only when your brand name appears in the answer text. Being linked as a source without being named does not count. A buyer reading that answer never sees your name.
Each of the five engines gets the same weight, and the per-engine rates average into one score out of 100. We do not weight by market share. The mix of engines your buyers use is something you know and we do not.
Every URL cited under every answer is logged, then grouped by domain. This is the part of the report that tells you where to act. Those domains are the pages the engine actually summarised.
Bavior does not report AI traffic, clicks or rank position. The engines either do not publish those numbers, or the numbers are too noisy to act on. We would rather report one number you can trust than four you cannot.
A low score almost always has the same shape. The engines are citing Reddit threads in your category, and your product is not in those threads. The dashboard names the threads each answer was built from. That turns a bad number into a list of places to show up. From there you have two options, and both keep every post under your approval.
Bavior finds the threads, reads each subreddit's rules, and drafts the reply in your voice. You approve it and publish from your own account. Starter costs $99 per month billed monthly, or $79.17 per month billed yearly.
Bavior's GEO service runs the same loop as a monthly engagement. It includes managed posting, which is priced separately from a plan, so our vetted accounts publish the approved posts instead of yours. You still approve every post before it goes out.
A Bavior scan tells you what the engines said that day. It cannot tell you why. The engines do not publish how they pick their sources, and they change those rules often. So nobody can promise you a citation, Bavior included. What we can do is show which pages the answers were built from, and report each day whether your name showed up.
The Bavior AI visibility checker is free, and it keeps re-running your prompt set every day on the dashboard. What we charge for is the work after the number: Bavior joins the Reddit threads those answers cite and drafts your reply. That is Bavior AI visibility, from $99 per month billed monthly, or $79.17 per month billed yearly.
A scan is not instant, and we do not quote a turnaround time we cannot hold to. The dashboard fills in when the run is done, and it re-runs every day after that. The wait is real work rather than a queue: every prompt is repeated many times on five engines, which adds up to hundreds of answers.
You can ask ChatGPT directly, and it is worth doing once. The catch is that one run is not evidence. AI answers vary between identical requests. So a single check can show your brand present or absent purely by chance. The Bavior checker repeats that check enough times to produce a rate.
The Bavior checker works, and a new product usually scores zero across all five engines. That result is still useful. The report lists which brands were named instead, and which sources each answer cited. That list is the shortest description of what you are up against.
There is no published benchmark, so treat your own first scan as the baseline. Bavior scores out of 100 by averaging the named-mention rate across five engines. A brand-new product usually scores 0. A well-known product in a busy category can score 40 or more. The number that matters is the one you move, not the one you start on.
GEO, or generative engine optimization, aims at AI answers instead of blue links. SEO tries to rank a page you own. GEO tries to get your product named inside someone else's answer. So the pages that matter are often ones you do not control. On most B2B SaaS topics those pages are Reddit threads. This checker measures the GEO half.
Bavior uses your domain to build the prompt set. Your email is your account login; the numbers are not emailed, they stay on the dashboard. Neither is sold on. Deletion requests are handled under the privacy policy, which also covers what is kept and for how long.
